January 23rd, 2025 Hurricane Helene Update

As of January 23, Arbor Dale has provided a total of $210,000 in assistance to families, businesses and schools in our Avery County area. With your help, propane heaters and fuel canisters were distributed to folks in need of heat and cash assistance in amounts ranging from $1,000 - $15,000 have been provided to twenty-six families and six businesses who suffered losses. In addition, a cash gift was given to one of our elementary schools to fully fund their annual graduating class trip that has historically been funded by donations from local families. 

 

The hurt and loss resulting from the storm’s impact is unimaginable.  The process of rebuilding beyond the temporary fixes that have been put in place so far, will be long-term and we are only in the beginning stages. It is our hope and plan to continue to love and support our friends in Avery County through the recovery.
